Setting Expectations

"Let's outline the logo design service steps, so you're familiar with what to expect during the process."

How the logo design process works:

Step 1. We learn about you - Appointment Prep, Design Consult

Appointment Prep:
Look through the items listed in the "Appointment Prep" section to share with your designer.

Design Consultation:
The designer you've been assigned will give you a call and gather all the information you have compiled during appointment prep.

Once your designer has collected everything they need from you to begin, they will: Create: 3 logo concepts and email them to you - Within: 3-5 business days.

Step 2. You choose a design - Concepts, Revisions, Finalize

Review Logo Concepts:
Take as long as you need to review the 3 designs, then call in to schedule a new appointment with your designer if you would like to discuss them.

Revise and Finalize:
You get a round of revisions to cover modifications to the concept that you choose, if you need any.

Your designer will make the requested adjustments to your design and then send a final version for you to approve.

Step 3. We make it yours - Delivery, Package Includes

Delivery:
Once you have approved of the design, you will receive a complete set of final artwork.

What You Get:
Your logo package will include 4 file types:

JPEG: A high-resolution JPEG
PNG: A PNG with a transparent background for online use
PDF: An editable, print-ready PDF, suitable for any professionally printed materials
EPS: A vector-based EPS, also suitable for any professionally printed materials

About the Consult

"If we can gather all the information we need by the end of the call, we can start designing right away."

In today's consultation we will cover:

1. Business Name - As it should appear in the logo design.

Think about your desired capitalization, spelling, and spacing. Examples: "ACME Widgets" or "Acme Widgets" or "ACMEwidgets" or "acmewidgets".

We will advise you on the best way to lay it out, but having some of your own ideas to share will help us understand what layouts appeal to you.

2. Company Brief - Talk to us about what you do.

Understanding a little about you will allow us to coordinate a well branded logo.

Talk to us about what you do, who you market to and how you plan on using your logo.

For example, logos designed primarily for business cards or printed menus may differ slightly from logos designed primarily for placement in website headers.

3. Domain (Optional) - Seeing your website layout can be helpful.

Already have a website up and running? Information and spacing that's on your website can be helpful to us. If you have one, provide us with your domain (example.com).

If you don't have a website yet, but you are planning to use it on a website in the future, let us know so we can create the logo layout keeping this in mind.

4. Tagline (Optional) - A slogan or punchline if you have one.

A tagline is a slogan that succinctly sums up a company or product. Examples: "Just Do It" (Nike), "Think Different" (Apple), "The ultimate driving machine" (BMW).

This isn't necessary to include in your logo especially if its longer than a few words. If there is an important tagline or phrase associated with your business, lets discuss it and we'll make suggestions on how to lay it out to best suit your design.

5. Color Focus - In case you have existing brand colors.

If you have an existing business brand or color scheme that you'd like to maintain in your logo design, provide us with the color hex code.

If you don't know your color hex code or how to retrieve it, send an image of the brand color to us in an email during the consultation.

If you don't have a color in mind, we will choose a color for you that is best suited to your business.

6. Visual Inspiration - Share details with us on the call.

If there are any images, logos, font styles or hand-made sketches that can help convey the ideas you have in mind, keep them handy. You can share these items with us in an email and we can discuss it.

We will not replicate the items you send in, however, you can discuss the features of each item that you like, to help us visualize your end goal.
