In order to have productive conversations, you must be the expert. Lets make you an expert in this Logo crash course!  

The How

A logo should be SIMPLE. Think about your favorite brands, it should be visually recognizable at a glance. You should know the logo when quickly scrolling through an online feed or driving past it on the street.

A logo is not a business card; it should take less than a second to read and be immediately recognized as yours. There is no need for long taglines, phone numbers, dot coms, addresses, etc. These can be done on the website, or when printing the business cards.

A logo is not a graphic illustration; it does not need an image or depiction of multiple real life items that relate to your business or how your business is done. It does not need to be textured, shiny, or look real and 3D.

A logo is not a mascot; having a brand identity through a living clown or animated tiger can make for great commercials, but it is not a logo. A logo can include a representational form but should never be inventing a new character.
